Contaminates Found in Soil from Metals

Local Texas Bank

Whitehead E. S. conducted a Phase I ESA of this manufacturing plant in central Texas. The Phase I ESA identified issues related to soil impacts from cutting oil and metal shavings (waste material in roll-off container). The Phase II sampling identified petroleum hydrocarbons, arsenic, and lead in the soil.

WES conducted off-Site sampling to develop site-specific background concentrations for selected metals that allowed for higher cleanup levels in the remediation of compacted soil. The assessment allowed for higher soil cleanup levels resulting in a lower cost to remediate the site.
